Have you ever clicked on an email only to be taken to a website page that is confusing or seemingly unrelated to whatever tempted you to click on the email in the first place? Unbelievably, this is still quite common in this day and age.
The key is to make sure you have one clear objective in mind when you are emailing your database of customers. Everything on your email should contribute to your one singular goal, and everything on the page that they land on should also contribute. Make it easy for your customer, give them a sense of urgency or curiosity, and get them clicking through…. if you don’t they are not going to bother.
